Security Center

If you shopped at Target between November 27, 2013 and December 15, 2013 and used a Debit or Credit Card for purchases, your card may have been compromised.

Our VISA cards are backed by VISA’s Zero Liability Policy.  You are not liable for fraudulent transactions on your account as long as you notify us as soon as possible should that occur.

We typically are notified by our card processor if a compromise has occurred.  Our card processor will also notify us of the accounts affected.  As soon as we are notified, we issue completely new card accounts.  Old compromised cards are blocked.

Our cards are protected with 24/7 with a Fraud Monitoring System that detects unusual transactions or spending trends.  If you are concerned regarding your card at First Credit Union of Scranton, we can certainly block it and issue a new card to you.

If you have used a TARGET Red Card, those transactions are processed differently from a First Credit Union of Scranton VISA card.  If you have linked your First Credit Union of Scranton account to a TARGET card, we strongly suggest that you monitor your accounts for unauthorized activity and notify us as soon as possible if you believe you have been a victim of fraud.
