Currently, nationwide and in this area, people are receiving automated phone calls indicating their debit or credit cards are deactivated or blocked. The person receiving the call is asked to call back a local number and give their full 16 digit card number. THIS IS A SCAM. If you receive one of these calls, please do not call the number provided. Simply hang up. First Credit Union of Scranton is not notifying you in this manner. If you have any questions, please call our office at 570-961-8953.
First Credit Union of Scranton will never request your personal information (account number, login password, login ID) in either a non-secure or unsolicited email communication.
- Never give out your personal information (such as your login password, login ID, date of birth, etc.) via email.
- Never enter any bank or account information online unless you are sure you are using a secure connection.
- Never return a phone call to a message that your debit or credit card has been blocked. This is a scam attempt.
